Coconut Tree Hill - Mirissa

Coconut tree hill is now probably one of the most popular places in the mirissa area. It is a nice place for photography with coconut trees in a red rock promontory with a great ocean view. 

It is a common place to take photos, pre wedding shoots. In public holidays this place tend to be crowded a little bit and it will be a little bit hard to capture the perfect shot you want. 

How to get there

By train :

from Colombo fort railway station get a train to mirissa Station and from there you can get a bus to ride about 3 km and get down at bandaramulla. From the bus stop there is about 200 m walk to get there to the hill. 

By bus: 

From Colombo fort you can directly get a bus to matara and get down directly at bandaramulla. But this will take some time compared to the train. 

If not you can go to matara by Southern express way and get a bus to gall and get down at bandaramulla. 

It will worth the travel when you see the beautiful coastal line down south.
